From the age of nine Camiel Corneille was longing to go to the extend of the human possibilities. Thinking he found it when he graduated at the University of the Arts (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, graduated with honours 2011, Fine Art and Education), he came in contact with the Circus (Codarts Circus Arts Rotterdam, graduated 2015). A world opened and by means of the Aerial Straps in combination of his Visual and Digital background, Corneille gained a layered interdisciplinary work attitude intertwined with his own physical language. Next to working with various companies of different disciplines, he is now part of the first Rotterdam-based circus collective Penguins co. and the young dynamic circus trio, Company Satchok. Camiel’s working methods and insight in the human physical and cognitive development form the foundation for his educational support, teaching and coaching.
